Liev Schreiber, Zazie Beetz, and Stephen Graham to Star in Series Adaptation of Lars Kepler’s Thriller Novels!!

Apple TV+ continues to be the home of some pretty incredible shows. Now, a new series from Rowan Joffe and John Hlavin is heading our way. The new series, based on the bestselling crime novels by Lars Kepler, is currently untitled but is set to be directed by Tim Van Patten and will begin production in Pittsburgh this summer. The new series already has quite a stacked cast! So far, Tony Award-winner and Emmy and Golden Globe Award-nominee Liev Schreiber and Emmy Award-nominee Zazie Beetz will bring the series to life alongside Adolescence star Stephen Graham.

What we know about the series is currently limited, but both Schreiber and Beetz will serve as executive producers on the show, along with Van Patten, who will direct the first two episodes. It is an exciting project because every single announced party comes with awards, recognition, and more. Which is part of what makes Apple TV+ such an exciting platform for fans of television as well as creatives. Joffe is a BAFTA winner, Schreiber has multiple nominations under his belt, as does Beetz. Graham is a SAG-winner, and his work on Adolescence has been garnering plenty of buzz for the actor. All of that should have you excited to see what this new show has in store for us.

The untitled series is described as follows per Apple TV+‘s press release:

The project tells the story of Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a quiet life. But, as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham), Jonah must protect all that he holds dear. When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his adopted daughter FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz) up against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?

The World Knows Lars Kepler’s Work

Kepler is known for this series, but Kepler‘s story is also just as mysterious as the books themselves. Published under one name, the novels are actually written by husband-and-wife duo Alexandra Coelho Ahndoril and Alexander Ahndoril. But even if that is one mystery you did solve, their work has captivated audiences. Their 10 novels have sold “a total of 18 million copies globally. The book series is translated into 40 languages and distributed in over 170 territories.” Meaning that this is one show you won’t want to miss!

In the meantime, you can see Graham in the Netflix series Adolescence.
