‘Superman’: New Video Has Jimmy Olsen Taking Us Through the Daily Planet!! Check It Out!!

Jimmy Olsen (Skyler Gisondo) has one of the most interesting jobs in the world. The young journalist works at the Daily Planet, the newspaper that will also be the home of Clark Kent (David Corenswet) in Superman. Warner Bros. has released a new video in order to promote one of the most anticipated movies of the summer. Jimmy Olsen can be seen having a normal day at the office, with several of the important characters from the upcoming blockbuster making an appearance on his video blog.

Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan) is one of the most respected journalists in the DC Universe. In the new video released by Warner Bros., Jimmy Olsen tries to convince everyone that they are equals. It couldn’t be more evident that Lane is above him when it comes the Daily Planet‘s chain of command. The star from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will also portray Superman’s love interest. Other iterations of these characters depicted Lois not being aware of Superman’s secret identity, but that won’t be the case for this year’s movie.

The upcoming Superman will see Clark Kent attempting to be the world’s best hero while Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult) tries to ruin his reputation. The merciless villain will use a wide variety of strategies in order to bring down the Man of Steel. Superman will also feature the protagonist’s pet dog, Krypto. The friendly pet has been established as one of the driving forces behind the upcoming movie’s marketing campaign, with audiences embracing the adorable dog thanks to his unpredictable personality.

Who Directed ‘Superman’?

James Gunn is the filmmaker behind the upcoming Superman. The director was hired by Warner Bros. alongside Peter Safran in order to build a franchise around the characters from DC Comics. Movies, television series, and even video games will tell stories set in the world introduced in last year’s Creature Commandos. After Superman takes flight on the big screen next month, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow will allow Milly Alcock to shine as Kara Zor-El.

Superman will be the next step in James Gunn‘s trajectory with major comic book adaptations. The director worked with Marvel Studios during the development of the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. After the release of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3, Gunn was free to completely focus on Warner Bros.’ strategy to turn the DC Universe into a major franchise. Will Superman be able to usher the DC brand into a profitable era of entertaining stories? The world is about to find out.

Superman flies into theaters on July 11.
