‘Zombie Plane’: Chuck Norris, Vanilla Ice, and Ice-T Wrap Wrap Filming on Bonkers New Film!!

Chuck Norris is back in action with his latest movie role, now taking on the undead. He’s one of the starring cast members of the upcoming film Zombie Plane, which has just gotten a major production update.

Per Variety, Zombie Plane has officially wrapped production with two new cast members revealed. Along with Chuck Norris, the film will also feature Ice-T (Law & Order: SVU) and Brian Austin Green (Beverly Hills, 90210). It was previously announced that rapper Vanilla Ice was also a part of the cast, with other stars including Sophie Monk and Sir Bob Geldof, as well as Australian celebrities Stephen Curry and Kyle Sandilands.

Zombie Plane imagines a world where celebrities secretly work as agents tasked with saving the planet. They are led by Commander Chuck Norris, and it was previously reported that Vanilla Ice was also playing himself, serving as a top-secret agent who only masquerades as a rapper to hide his true profession. Vanilla Ice and Ice-T also contributed to the movie’s soundtrack in addition to their acting roles. Lav Bodnaruk and Michael Mier directed.

I am excited to see this high-octane thrill ride of laughs and action come to life, and I know the audience will be just as excited,” Radioactive Pictures producer Jess Butland said of the project in a statement.

Entertainment Squad producer Shaked Berenson (The Man Who Killed Hiterl and Then the Bigfoot) added, “As a genre, horror has always been a powerful way to blend social commentary with outrageous entertainment. Zombie Plane carries that torch with its absurd premise and sharp satire. We embrace the weird, the wild, and the unexpected!

It’s not the blood or the gore, of which there is a lot, it’s the F-bombs,” Bodnaruk previously said of why the movie will have a guaranteed R-rating, noting how Monk is “the darling of Australia, so what that means is that she has an F-bomb in every sentence she says. You know, we decapitate animals, a chihuahua — a zombie chihuahua — we kill kids … you do all this stuff, but then you drop two F-bombs and suddenly it’s R-rated, so we were like, well, let’s embrace it and lean into it.

Chuck Norris Is Back in Action

While the plot is off the wall, the action won’t be unfamiliar to Norris. He is well known for his work in the genre after starring in movies like The Delta Force and Missing in Action, along with his hit TV show Walker, Texas Ranger. Norris, 85, works much more sporadically these days, though last year he appeared in the direct-to-digital action film Agent Recon.

Zombie Plane does not yet have a premiere date set at this time, but with filming completed, it is expected to be hitting theaters sometime later this year. Release dates will be announced in the near future.
