‘Slow Horses’ Already Renewed for Season 7!!

Slough House must be doing something right. Despite their infamous ability to fumble their missions, the agents from Slow Horses are getting yet another season to keep trying to be the best among the worst. Today, Apple TV+ announced that the hit thriller series led by Gary Oldman (Oppenheimer) has been renewed for Season 7. The announcement comes before Season 5 even premiered on the platform. The newest season debuts this September, and Season 7 will probably debut in 2027.

The early renewal indicates that, once again, Apple TV+ is happy with the content that showrunner Will Smith (Veep) has been delivering year after year. The series has been repeatedly praised with every new season, with its four seasons averaging a near-perfect 98% score on Rotten Tomatoes and Seasons 2 and 4 earning a 100% score each. Additionally, the show has been nominated at the Emmys, BAFTAs, and several other awards throughout its run.

In an official statement, the creative director of Apple TV+ in Europe, Jay Hunt, celebrated the renewal and underscored the series’ quality.

“’Slow Horses’ has won fans all over the world with its unique mix of self-deprecating British humor and high-octane action. I’m delighted viewers will have another season to enjoy Gary’s magnificent performance as Jackson Lamb alongside the Slow Horses slightly inept spycraft.

When Is The Next Season Of ‘Slow Horses’?

While the newest episodes enter production, fans still have two other seasons to look for before diving into the events of Season 7. Season 5 premieres on September 24, Season 6 comes around in 2026, and chances are that Season 7 will debut in 2027. The seventh installment of the show will also have six episodes, and it will adapt Bad Actors, the eighth book in the novel series written by Mick Herron. In it, Jackson Lamb (Oldman) and his co-workers start racing against the clock in order to find a mole inside the British government before the secret enemy has a chance to bring down the state.

Aside from Oldman, the cast of Slow Horses also features Jack Lowden (The Gold), Kristin Scott Thomas (Tomb Raider), Rosalind Eleazar (Missing You), Christopher Chung (Waterloo Road), Saskia Reeves (Luther), Jonathan Pryce (Wolf Hall), Hugo Weaving (Love Me), Kardiff Kirwan (Chewing Gum), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Peaky Blinders), Joanna Scanlan (A Very Royal Scandal), Tom Brooke (Preacher), Ruth Bradley (Ted Lasso), and James Callis (Battlestar Galactica).

Season 5 of Slow Horses debuts on September 24. Seasons 6 and 7 are yet to get release dates.
