‘The Savant’: First Look at Jessica Chastain’s New Apple TV+ Thriller Series Revealed!! Check It Out!!

Jessica Chastain is heading back to television—and this time, she’s taking on one of the most dangerous missions of her career. The Academy Award-winning actress will star in The Savant, an eight-episode limited series premiering September 26, 2025, on Apple TV+, and the streamer has just released the first two images from the highly anticipated series. Based on the explosive 2019 Cosmopolitan article by Andrea Stanley, The Savant follows a mysterious woman who goes undercover to infiltrate and dismantle violent online hate groups before they can carry out large-scale attacks. The series is inspired by a true story, with Chastain playing an investigator who finds herself tested in many different ways as she embeds herself in digital communities filled with extremism.

The Savant centers on an unnamed woman (Chastain) with a mysterious past and a razor-sharp mind, recruited to go undercover in some of the darkest corners of the internet. Her mission is to identify domestic terrorists and stop them before they act, but as the lines blur between truth and a highwire performing act, the cost of deception grows dangerously high. Apple TV+ released first-look images of Chastain in character, showing the star in a moody, stripped-back look, worlds away from her glam roles in The Eyes of Tammy Faye or George and Tammy. The series will drop on the streamer with two episodes on Friday, September 26, with new episodes every Friday through November 7, 2025.
