‘The Last Frontier’: First Images & Teaser Finds Jason Clarke in the Alaskan Wilderness!! Check It Out!!

Jason Clarke lit the world on fire in 2023 thanks to his gripping performance in Oppenheimer, but things have been relatively quiet for the star since then, until now. Clarke stars in the first images for The Last Frontier, his new Apple TV+ series that will begin streaming on October 10. Apple has also released the first short teaser for the 10-episode series, which also stars Dominic Cooper (The Gold), Haley Bennett (The Magnificent Seven), Simone Kessell (Yellowjackets), Dallas Goldtooth (Reservation Dogs), and Tait Blum (For All Mankind). The show was written and created for television by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio, who will also executive produce alongside Clarke. Clarke also wrote episodes of the show, which will be directed by Sam Hargrave, who has worked with Chris Hemsworth on both Extraction movies.

The Last Frontier follows Frank Remnick (Clarke), a lone U.S. marshal who looks after the quiet yet treacherous barrens of Alaska. His life is thrown for a loop when a prison transport plane crashes in the middle of his territory, releasing dozens of dangerous inmates into the wild. Frank is tasked with protecting the small town he knows and loves, but as he looks deeper into the crash, he begins to suspect it wasn’t an accident. The stakes continue to rise as he looks into the incident further. The first two episodes of The Last Frontier will drop on premiere day, with subsequent episodes coming every week until the season finale airs on December 5. Apple has already delivered compelling shows this year like Severance and Your Friends and Neighbors, and The Last Frontier looks to be next in line to take the crown.

Jason Clarke Is Reuniting With Kathryn Bigelow

Jason Clarke famously starred in Kathryn Bigelow’s hit 2012 political thriller, Zero Dark Thirty, and now he’s reuniting with her for her next big film. Clarke has been tapped to star alongside Idris Elba and Rebecca Ferguson in A House of Dynamite, which is coming to Netflix later this year on October 24 — it’s going to be a big month for Clarke fans. Noah Oppenheim wrote the script for A House of Dynamite, and the film also stars Anthony Ramos, Jared Harris, Willa Fitzgerald, and more.

The Last Frontier premieres on Apple TV+ on October 10. Check out the new images and teaser.
