‘The Gilded Age’ Renewed for Season 4!!

The Gilded Age has been renewed for Season 4! Announced this morning, HBO revealed that for five consecutive weeks, the viewership of the series has continued to grow throughout its Season 3 and earned the series a significant growth in viewership compared to Season 2. Fans have also been talking a lot more about The Gilded Age on social media! The hit HBO series stars Carrie Coon, Christine Baranski, Cynthia Nixon, and more in a new series from Julian Fellows. Along with Coon, Baranski, and Nixon, the cast includes Morgan Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Denée Benton, Taissa Farmiga, Audra McDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, and more!

The news comes after the series put out one of its most shocking episodes yet. Fans were disappointed to see a fan-favorite character meet their match in Season 3 when tensions were high all around. But the upset over the show’s loss shows just how dedicated fans are to the series. And how it has grown from Season 1 on for fans.

The Season 3 logline is as follows: “The American Gilded Age was a period of immense economic and social change, when empires were built, but no victory came without sacrifice. Following the Opera War, the old guard is weakened and the Russells stand poised to take their place at the head of society. Bertha sets her sights on a prize that would elevate the family to unimaginable heights while George risks everything on a gambit that could revolutionize the railroad industry — if it doesn’t ruin him first. Across the street, the Brook household is thrown into chaos as Agnes refuses to accept Ada’s new position as lady of the house. Peggy meets a handsome doctor from Newport whose family is less than enthusiastic about her career. As all of New York hastens toward the future, their ambition may come at the cost of what they truly hold dear.”

Julian Fellows Knows How to Captivate an Audience

The success of The Gilded Age isn’t surprising for fans of Fellows‘ previous work like Downton Abbey. And he’s pulling similar tricks into it. Remember when Matthew (Dan Stevens) died in a car accident just moments after meeting his son? Or when Lady Sybil (Jessica Brown Findlay) died in child birth? Fellows has a nack for a surprising death and The Gilded Age is now a part of that legacy. Does that mean everyone will survive the rest of Season 3 or Season 4? We don’t know but at least fans can still experience the excitement of The Gilded Age with a new season!

The Gilded Age is still airing on HBO.
