Emma Thompson is taking on Apple TV+ with her very own show! Down Cemetery Road has released new images for the series along with a release date: October 29. The series is set to run until December 10 with new episodes hitting Apple TV+ on Wednesdays. His Dark Materials star Ruth Wilson is set to star alongside Thompson in the series, and fans of both iconic actors can get a look at the series with some first-look images of the show that include both Wilson and Thompson in action in the new thriller!
We don’t know much about the series yet, but the synopsis for the series should have fans of both actors extremely interested! Down Cemetery Road is described as follows:
“When a house explodes in a quiet Oxford suburb and a girl disappears in the aftermath, neighbor Sarah Tucker (Wilson) becomes obsessed with finding her and enlists the help of private investigator Zoë Boehm (Thompson). Zoë and Sarah suddenly find themselves in a complex conspiracy that reveals that people long believed dead are still among the living, while the living are fast joining the dead.”
The three images released include one of Wilson as Sarah, one of Thompson as Zoë, and one of the two working together to try and find the missing girl that Sarah has become obsessed with solving. Apple TV+ has been doing a great job of keeping the thriller genre alive with shows like Defending Jacob and even Severance as it leads fans through the twisted halls of Lumon. Bringing these two powerhouses together in a brand-new thriller series for the streaming platform is exciting!
