‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’: New BTS Video Finds Tom Holland Back in Action!! Check It Out!!

It’s been just over a week since Tom Holland was spotted swinging back into action as the MCU’s friendly neighborhood hero on the Glasgow, Scotland set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Now, Sony Pictures has given fans their first official peek behind the curtain with a brand-new “Day One” featurette.

The minute-long video wastes no time in capturing the buzz on set. We see Holland suiting up for his fourth solo Spider-Man outing, sharing a few candid thoughts on what it feels like to return to the role with an entirely new approach. “Putting the suit on, it feels different this time,” he says. “I’m just going to do my best. Hopefully get it right. No pressure.

That “different” feeling isn’t just in Holland’s head. Even Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has hinted that Brand New Day will be the first time audiences truly see the “classic” Spider-Man on screen in the MCU, which might explain why Holland seems more introspective than ever.

Who Is Directing ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’?

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Spider-Man set without some high-flying action, and the featurette delivers. Holland is shown wired up for stunts as the web-slinger makes a daring attempt to break into a heavily armored tank barreling through New York. The sequence is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who can be spotted orchestrating the chaos on set. The camera also lingers on an intriguing demon-like logo plastered on the side of the vehicle — a detail that has already sent fan theories into overdrive.

Is it a nod to The Punisher’s new set of wheels? Holland did tell a fan to “watch the movie” when asked if Jon Bernthal‘s Frank Castle would be appearing. Could it even be a tease for Mephisto’s long-rumored MCU arrival on the big screen after Sacha Baron Cohen debuted in Ironheart? Could it even be linked to The Hand or Mister Negative’s Inner Demons? Or maybe it’s nothing more than set dressing meant to keep everyone guessing. For now, the studio isn’t saying. And why would they spoil the fun for us?!

You can watch this new featurette for Spider-Man: Brand New Day in the player above. Brand New Day arrives in theaters in July 2026.
