‘Black Rabbit’ Trailer Sees Jude Law, Jason Bateman Play Brothers in Netflix’s New Crime Drama Mini Series!! Check It Out!!

Jude Law and Jason Bateman are finally sharing the screen — and it looks worth the wait. Netflix has dropped the first trailer for Black Rabbit, an eight-episode limited series that drops viewers into the heart of New York City nightlife, where loyalty, family, and survival collide.

The show follows brothers Jake and Vince Friedken, played by Law and Bateman, as they attempt to run Black Rabbit, a high-end restaurant and VIP lounge poised to be the city’s next big hotspot. Jake, the slick and charismatic face of the operation, is riding high — until Vince reappears and dredges up old wounds. What starts as a family reunion quickly spirals into chaos, with dangerous enemies, fractured trust, and a looming threat that could bring down everything they’ve built.

The trailer wastes no time setting the tone. Dimly lit clubs, huge gambling debts, and a tense brotherly bond at the center of it all. These two guys can play light or dark and this one looks like it’s going to straddle both sides of the line. The series promises both pulse-pounding suspense and a layered look at how trauma, ego, and ambition can fracture even the tightest bonds. Black Rabbit is created by Zach Baylin (King Richard) and Kate Susman, with a producing team that includes Bateman’s Aggregate Films and Law’s Riff Raff Entertainment. Bateman not only stars but also directs the first two episodes, with Laura Linney, Ben Semanoff, and Justin Kurzel directing the rest of the season.

The rest of the cast also includes Cleopatra Coleman (Infinity Pool), Amaka Okafor (Bodies), Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù (Gangs of London), Troy Kotsur (CODA), Abbey Lee (Lovecraft Country), Chris Coy (The Deuce), Dagmara Dominczyk (Succession), Odessa Young (The Staircase), and Robin De Jesus (tick, tick… BOOM!).

What Have Jason Bateman and Jude Law Made Recently?

Bateman has been a Netflix mainstay for years, from Ozark to Carry On, while is set to flex his directing muscle on Dark Wire. Law, fresh off his chilling turn as King Henry VIII in Firebrand and his galactic role in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, brings his own brand of charming intensity to the mix. Though both actors have long resumes stacked with acclaimed performances, Black Rabbit marks the first time they’re co-starring together — and judging by the trailer, it’s a pairing that feels long overdue.

Black Rabbit will debut globally on Netflix on September 18, 2025.
