‘Marvel Zombies’: New Image Sees Marvel Heroes Become the Undead!! Check It Out!!

A new image shared online teases how popular MCU characters like Clint Barton / Hawkeye and Wanda Maximoff / the Scarlet Witch will look in a highly anticipated Marvel Zombies series.

Created by Zeb Wells and based on the namesake comic book metaseries by Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips, Marvel Zombies takes place in an alternate timeline and will feature several prominent Marvel actors in its voice cast.

Marvel Studios has released a new Marvel Zombies image, giving fans a fresh look at the zombified versions of their favorite MCU superheroes. In the said image, several well-known characters, including Hawkeye, the Scarlet Witch, Emil Blonsky / Abomination, Nebula, Monica Rambeau / Photon, Okoye, Ava Starr / Ghost, Black Widow, and Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, appear as part of a zombie horde standing in front of an unidentified building (via ComicBook.com).

Marvel Zombies takes place in the universe that serves as the setting for What If…? Season 1 Episode 5 (What If… Zombies?!) and will take the story forward from the events depicted in the earlier show.

The official logline for Marvel Zombies reads, “After the Avengers are overtaken by a zombie plague, a desperate group of survivors discover the key to bringing an end to the super-powered undead, racing across a dystopian landscape and risking life and limb to save their world.

The show’s voice cast includes David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian, Awkwafina as Katy, Simu Liu as Xu Shang-Chi, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova. Additionally, Hudson Thames voices Peter Parker / Spider-Man, and Todd Williams voices Blade.

Notably, Marvel Zombies is the 16th TV show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from Marvel Studios. It premieres on Disney+ on September 24, 2025, as part of Phase Six of the franchise.
