‘Gen V’ Season 2: New Image Sees Jaz Sinclair & Hamish Linklater Coming Face to Face!! Check It Out!!

Season 2 of Gen V is shaping up to be more diabolical than any of the four seasons of The Boys that came before it. Today, we’re thrilled to share an exclusive image that takes audiences inside the brick walls of Godolkin University and up close with two of the show’s leading characters. Additionally, we’ve got a statement from universe creator, Eric Kripke, that sheds some light on how things will shake out in the highly anticipated sophomore installment, which arrives on Prime Video with a three-episode premiere on September 17.

In our exclusive sneak peek, viewers will see two of the biggest players of Season 2. Staring one another down, Marie (Jaz Sinclair) looks incredibly over whatever the school’s new leader, Dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater), has to say to her. Dressed in a suit, Dean Cipher is literally looking down on Marie, towering over her, while behind his back, he holds onto a clipboard. Judging by Marie’s sweatsuit look and what we’ve seen in the trailers, we’d wager that she’s about to enter the ring against one of her fellow students while Dean Cipher and other leaders watch from the sidelines and grade their fight club-like performances.

In his exclusive statement about the events of Season 2, Kripke told Collider:

“We want Gen V to be its own satisfying story, but it’s also an important block in the larger universe, especially now that Homelander has taken over the U.S. So, we’ll see a lot of new details about Homelander’s America, and what Starlight is doing to fight back. Gen V does a beautiful job of teeing up The Boys Season 5, as we head towards the final cataclysmic showdown. Also, it’s got lots of weird butt stuff.”

‘Gen V’s Crossover Cameos

As Kripke mentioned, the follow-up season of Gen V will be centered between Seasons 4 and 5 of The Boys. So far, we know that Erin Moriarty’s Starlight will play an integral role in whatever act of defiance Sinclair’s Marie and the rest of the young supes are plotting. Now that Homelander (Antony Starr) has taken over, it’s anyone’s guess how things will shake out for humans, but it certainly won’t be for the betterment of mankind. Along with Moriarty, audiences can expect plenty of other familiar faces to crossover, like Chace Crawford’s The Deep, Nathan Mitchell’s Black Noir, and Valorie Curry as Firecracker.
