‘Splinter Cell: Deathwatch’ Teaser Puts Sam Fisher Back In Action!! Check It Out!!

Netflix has officially debuted a new teaser trailer for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch and even confirmed an October 10 launch date for the upcoming animated series. Additionally, the streamer has revealed that Kirby Howell-Baptiste, best known for her roles in The Good Place and Barry, has also joined the cast as Agent Zinnia McKenna. Liev Schreiber will star in the signature role of Sam Fisher in the series, the main character of a string of extremely popular Tom Clancy Splinter Cell video games. Collider recently debuted an exclusive image from the show as part of our Fall TV preview event.

If Liev Schreiber voicing Sam Fisher wasn’t enough to get you excited for Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, then Derek Kolstad’s involvement certainly should be. Kolstad is best known for his work creating the John Wick franchise with director Chad Stahelski and star Keanu Reeves. After writing the scripts for the first three John Wick movies, Kolstad did not return to write the fourth film, but he did receive a writing credit for his work creating the characters. As if inventing an action hero played by one older star wasn’t enough, Kolstad is also the genius behind Bob Odenkirk’s Nobody franchise. The second Nobody movie is now playing in theaters everywhere.

Sam Fisher actor Liev Schreiber is also known for playing Victor Creed, aka Sabertooth, opposite Hugh Jackman in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He’s a nine-time Emmy nominee, with several coming from his work on the popular series, Ray Donovan. He more recently teamed up with Nicole Kidman for The Perfect Couple, the popular Netflix original series that spent weeks atop streaming charts. Schreiber is also famous for his role as Marty Baron in the Best Picture-winner, Spotlight.
