‘English Teacher’ Season 2 Trailer Head Backs to Class!! Check It Out!!

Welcome back, students. It’s another relatively typical day at Morrison-Hensley High, and normal means more chaos as Evan (Brian Jordan Alvarez) tries to impart some wisdom onto the future of America. However, as seen in the brand-new trailer and key art for English Teacher Season 2, it’s not the easiest task to accomplish. The American high school is an ever-evolving monster, but some things never change — those who considered teachers as the cringiest beings on earth are now on the receiving end. And at 35 years old — which students interpret as the final stages of life — Evan is trying his best to balance a career and personal life. The season’s key art captures this chaos as the teachers try to keep a distance from the rabid student body that is literally attacking them with their phones.

English Teacher Season 2 follows Evan Marquez “as he continues to navigate his way through the political minefield known as the American high school. Back with Evan — though not always on his side — are his best friend Gwen (Stephanie Koenig), gym teacher Markie (Sean Patton), wild card guidance counselor Rick (Carmen Christopher), and constantly terrified Principal Grant Moretti (Enrico Colantoni),” reads the season’s official description. It continues:

Not surprisingly, Evan still refuses to stay quiet when controversy arises at Morrison-Hensley High. This season, the gang finds themselves in the crosshairs of issues including climate change, COVID, military recruitment and student phone usage. Evan also struggles to keep his relationship with Malcolm (Jordan Firstman) separate from his work life. Even though Malcolm no longer works at Morrison-Hensley, Evan’s excessive righteousness at school takes an increasing toll on his romantic life.

Evan Is Trying His Best in ‘English Teacher’ Season 2 Trailer

Among the things that never change is the fact that students must make decisions regarding their futures, and they count on the support of their teachers. It’s hell when they are roasting your fashion sense or lacking any ambition. And the worst part is, they are right. What else would a dumb person do if they did not use good ol’ nepotism to enter college? If the color doesn’t look amazing on you, it doesn’t look amazing on you. The behavior displayed by Evan’s students can be explained by the gap in social skills that developed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the fact that the world was introduced to The Tiger King around that time must have played a part.

English Teacher Season 2 premieres on FX on Thursday, September 25, at 9 PM ET. The first three episodes of the season will air back-to-back, and the entire ten-episode season will be available to stream on Hulu and watch on video on demand the following day.
