Netflix has just unveiled the first look at Loguetown, a key location in One Piece Season 2, officially titled Into the Grand Line along with a fresh new poster. The latest photos take the fans inside the Town of the Beginning and the End as Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) and his crew sail deeper into the treacherous and unpredictable stretch of seas known as the Grand Line. The images showcase Loguetown as a bustling port city, as the crew explores its vibrant streets along with the Loguetown Opera. The location, infamous for being the site of pirate king Gold Roger’s (Michael Dorman) execution, is the starting point of the show’s Great Pirate Era.
The live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s iconic manga series is set to return in 2026 and follows the Straw Hat Pirates on their quest for the world’s greatest treasure. According to the official synopsis of the upcoming season, Luffy and his crew are set to “encounter bizarre islands and a host of formidable new enemies” in this new chapter. This latest glimpse into One Piece Season 2 comes shortly after the show was renewed for Season 3, with production set to begin later this year in Cape Town, South Africa.
Netflix announced the show’s early renewal during the annual One Piece celebration in Tokyo this August. For Season 3, co-executive producer Ian Stokes will step up as co-showrunner alongside Joe Tracz, taking over from Matt Owens, who served as executive producer and co-showrunner for the first two seasons of the hit live-action series.
‘One Piece’ Zou Island Arc Hits Netflix in October 2025
Netflix is set to expand its One Piece catalog with the manga’s fan-favorite Zou Arc dropping on the platform on October 1, 2025. The new episodes, listed as One Piece Season 25 on Netflix, follow the Straw Hat Crew as they arrive on the mysterious Zou Island, perched on the back of a giant, sentient elephant named Zunesha. The island, home to the Mink Tribe, is an important setting in the One Piece saga that unveils secrets about the four Road Poneglyphs and sets the stage for the Wano Arc.
The streamer has divided the Zou Arc into three parts, with only the first part confirmed for the October 1 release. While fans may be hoping for all three parts to drop at once, Netflix has so far only scheduled the opening batch of episodes. The addition continues Netflix’s steady expansion of the One Piece library, following recent releases of major arcs like Dressrosa and Silver Mine.
The Zou Arc release, however, is bittersweet for fans of the manga, who just bid farewell to One Piece: Heart of Gold, which left Netflix on September 1. The anime special ties into One Piece Film: Gold (2016) and follows the crew on an adventure to find a girl named Mysinka Olga (Minami Hamabe), the only person who knows the location of Pure Gold.
One Piece Season 2 is set to release in 2026. An exact premiere date has not been announced yet.
