As production on Ted Lasso Season 4 progresses, a couple of fan favorites have been confirmed to return, including leading man Jason Sudeikis, reprising his titular role. Other confirmed returnees include Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, and Jeremy Swift, some of whom fans have already caught glimpses of amid filming via set footage on social media. Among this bunch, you may have noticed that major player Phil Dunster has been missing, but recent news hints that he may also return in the new season, though no official confirmation has been made.
As seen on X (formerly Twitter), Dunster was captured on the set of Ted Lasso Season 4 in Richmond less than twenty-four hours ago, suggesting his character Jamie Tartt could actually be back. The English actor looked quite different thanks to his new blonde look, which you can check out below. The sports comedy officially began production in Kansas City in July, marked by an exciting first-look photo. Filming has also taken place in London and Richmond since then, which fans haven’t hesitated to document on social media.
Besides the returning ensemble, the new Ted Lasso installment will feature newcomers Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Grant Feely, replacing Gus Turner as Ted’s son, Henry. Season 4 currently has no premiere date, which should hopefully change soon, as the anticipation has been through the roof. It all began in June 2024, when the upcoming season became a possibility, according to a Warner Bros. executive, but it wasn’t until earlier this March that it was officially announced.
