‘The Witcher’ Season 4 Trailer Reveals Liam Hemsworth’s Gritty, Foul-Mouthed Geralt!! Check It Out!!

The Witcher has officially entered a new era — Netflix has released the first trailer for The Witcher Season 4, showing Liam Hemsworth stepping into the shoes of Henry Cavill as the new Geralt of Rivia. Season 4 picks up after the continent-altering events of Season 3, showing Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri as they find themselves separated by war with dangerous enemies between them. Their path to reunite is full of unexpected allies and violent battles, but if they can survive it all, they may just be together again. All episodes of The Witcher Season 4 will begin streaming on Netflix on October 30.

Alongside Hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia, stars Anya Chalotra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri, with other stars such as Joey Batey back as Jaskier. Additional cast members include Laurence Fishburne as Regis, Eamon Farren as Cahir, Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold, Mimi M Khayisa as Fringilla, Graham McTavish as Djikstra, Danny Woodburn as Zoltan, Safiyya Ingar as Keira, Rochelle Rose as Margarita, Hugh Skinner as Radovid, and more. The Witcher Season 4 was written and created for television by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who also executive produces and showruns the series.

The Witcher Season 4 was struck with a major blow several years ago when it was announced that Henry Cavill would no longer play Geralt of Rivia. Instead of ending the show altogether, Netflix announced that The Witcher would have two more seasons to finish telling the story, and Liam Hemsworth would replace Cavill as the legendary witcher. After years of speculation about Cavill’s departure, showrunner Lauren Hissrich recently broke her silence, confirming that Cavill wanted to focus on other projects.

What Do We Know About ‘The Witcher’ Season 5?

Few details have been made available about The Witcher Season 5, but it began production early this year and wrapped up at the end of September. A fantasy-based series like The Witcher requires much longer for post-production than other shows, so it wouldn’t be surprising if The Witcher Season 5 isn’t released until the end of 2026, if not early in 2027. Hemsworth will continue to play Geralt in the fifth and final season of The Witcher on Netflix, and other stars such as Freya Allan and Anya Chalotra are also expected to return for one final time, assuming they survive the events of Season 4.
