It’s been 25 years since four Hobbits left the Shire and changed fantasy storytelling forever — and now, they’re coming back together for an adventure of their own. FAN EXPO HQ has announced An Evening With the Hobbits: In Celebration of 25 Years, an 11-city reunion tour set to bring The Lord of the Rings stars Sean Astin, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, and Elijah Wood face-to-face with fans across North America in 2026.
Kicking off at FAN EXPO New Orleans on January 10, 2026, the tour will make stops in cities including Portland, Orlando, Calgary, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto, before wrapping in Dallas on September 12, 2026. According to FAN EXPO HQ, An Evening With the Hobbits will feature behind-the-scenes stories, playful onstage moments, and heartfelt reflections from the four lifelong friends who brought Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin to life. Breaking lembas bread together, if you will.

Tickets go on sale October 22 at 10 AM local time through each event’s box office, and admission to the corresponding FAN EXPO convention will be required. VIP packages — including exclusive photo ops, autographs, and limited-edition collectibles — will also be available, with organizers teasing more Lord of the Rings–themed programming still to be announced.
Reflecting on the upcoming anniversary, Elijah Wood shared that even two decades later, the impact of The Lord of the Rings still feels as strong as ever.
“To be celebrating this milestone – a quarter of a century – just feels abstract. It still feels like the films are really present. The fact that we’re spending this kind of time with fans and doing shows like this, it keeps it so fresh for us. It’s such a massive, continual part of our lives.”
