‘Adults’ Renewed for Season 2!!

FX has finally decided the fate of Charlie Cox’s adult comedy series nearly six months removed from the Season 1 finale. The network has confirmed that Adults has been renewed and will receive a second season. While an official release date has not yet been announced, FX does confirm that the second season of Adults will arrive before the end of next year. The series was written and created for television by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, with Nick Kroll producing under his Good Business banner. Most recurring cast members are expected to return in Season 2.

The first season of Adults immediately drew comparisons to the hit sitcom Friends, largely due to the elements of adult comedy and a hilarious friend group trying to find their way in the world. Adults follow a group of twenty-year-olds in New York who are trying to be good people. Five friends are all crashing together in one of their childhood homes, which leads to the group of them sharing everything — meals, anxieties, and sometimes, even toothbrushes. The series puts a slightly heightened twist on the wins and losses in the complex world of being a young adult.

In addition to Charlie Cox, Adults also stars Malik Elassal, Lucy Freyer, Jack Innanen, Amita Rao, and Owen Thiele. Adults star Charlie Cox is best known for his Marvel role as Daredevil in the Netflix TV series, and he even reprised that role earlier this year in Daredevil: Born Again. Born Again has been renewed for a second season, that’s already wrapped production and will be released in March next year. He’s booked and busy, so hopefully he has enough time in his schedule for a few weeks on the set of Adults Season 2.

Charlie Cox Has Been in More Marvel Projects Than You Realize

Charlie Cox has starred in more projects in the MCU’s Infinity Saga than any other MCU actor. After he first made his MCU debut in Spider-Man: No Way Home, he later appeared in several episodes of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law before also returning in an episode of Echo. He even featured in two episodes of the animated series, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, before headlining Daredevil: Born Again Season 1. His MCU future in larger projects like Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday remains unclear.
