Madhuri Dixit is all set to be seen in the upcoming thriller series Mrs Deshpande. Directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, the series has been garnering a lot of attention as it marks Dixit‘s return to the thriller genre after her 2022 drama The Fame Game. On December 1, the makers unveiled the trailer for Mrs Deshpande, and it promises a high-stakes thriller.

The trailer of Mrs Deshpande opens with Madhuri Dixit singing the Bholi Si Surat song and murdering a person. After this, Madhuri is seen inside bars and saying, “I am inside, so that means there is someone who is copying my style.” The series is about Mrs Deshpande (Madhuri), a woman who appears innocent but is a former serial killer.

Mrs. Deshpande is an upcoming Indian thriller series starring Madhuri Dixit as a convicted serial killer who is brought in by the police to help them catch a copycat killer.
The plot of the story centers on an investigation, the strained relationship between the protagonist and his estranged son (now a detective), and his hidden secrets. The show, directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, is a remake of the French series La Mante. Mrs. Deshpande, sentenced to 25 years in prison for serial murder. When a new killer begins copying his crimes, the police seek Mrs. Deshpande’s help in catching the copycat.
Her only condition is that she will work with her estranged son, who is a police detective, and force them to form a tense and emotionally complex relationship. The story explores the investigation, their strained relationship, hidden secrets, and a dark past.

The series casts Madhuri Dixit-Nene as Mrs Deshpande, the serial killer, Siddharth Chandekar appears in a key role, likely as her son and the detective assigned to work with her, and Priyanshu Chatterjee also plays a key role.
