‘Chad Powers’ Renewed For Season 2!!

The fate of Glen Powell‘s hit new Hulu series has been decided after one season. Hulu has confirmed that Chad Powers has been renewed and will be back for Season 2. This comes just over a month after a controversial Season 1 finale, where many fans felt the show was left on such a gargantuan cliffhanger that it just ended in the middle of a new season. Nonetheless, fans can take comfort in knowing that the story of Chad Powers, which was first brought to life by legendary NFL quarterback Eli Manning, will continue with another season on Hulu.

Hulu declined to release any details about Chad Powers Season 2, including where production will begin or even a potential release window. However, leading star Glen Powell is expected back in Season 2 to finish his quarterback’s story, and creator Michael Waldron will once again be writing the episodes. Powell also earned a writing credit for his work creating the story of Chad Powers. In addition to Powell, the first season of Chad Powers also stars Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Ericia Yeager, Steve Zahn as Coach Jake Hudson, and Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny.

Few stars have had a quicker come-up than Glen Powell has in the last few years, and it’s all thanks to his role as Hangman in Top Gun: Maverick. Powell is also expected to reprise this role in a third Top Gun movie that’s in development at Paramount, but it could be years before it ever makes it to the screen. Powell also recently spearheaded the Twisters legacy sequel, which premiered last year and surprised some experts as one of 2024’s biggest blockbusters.

Is Glen Powell’s New Movie on Streaming?

Glen Powell’s latest action feature comes in the form of The Running Man, which is a direct remake of the classic 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger movie of the same name. Both films are based on the book by Stephen King. Despite sign-offs by both King and Schwarzenegger, Glen Powell’s Running Man remake is destined to fail at the box office. With a reported budget of over $100 million, The Running Man has grossed only $60 million at the worldwide box office. Experts indicate that the film is going to lose Paramount over $100 million, which may call Powell’s stardom into question.
