‘Spider-Noir’: New Look Reveals Nicolas Cage’s Alter-Ego!! Check It Out!!

Nicolas Cage‘s Spider-Noir has swung into CCXP in Brazil and set up his investigative office for a bit of field work at the convention. However, the new display for the MGM+ and Prime Video series has officially confirmed that the star won’t be playing Peter Parker as usual. Collider‘s Steve Weintraub was on site early before the event kicks off tomorrow and was able to snap pictures of the newly-constructed setup that’s designed to evoke the feeling of 1930s New York City. Included in the display is a door to the detective’s office that instead reads “B. Reilly,” aka Ben Reilly.

The confirmation means Spider-Noir will set itself apart somewhat from its comic inspiration. On the page, the aging private investigator is a variant of Peter Parker from a much darker, grittier universe, fighting crime in a way more akin to Batman, with his iconic motto twisted into the much colder, “if there is too much power, then it is the responsibility of the people to take it away.” It’s an interesting wrinkle that will differentiate Cage‘s gruff iteration from the other Spider-Men that have been brought to life in live-action. Reilly is typically depicted as a clone of Peter, who takes on the moniker of the Scarlet Spider, so it remains to be seen if those origins play into the detective’s tale and add a bit of crisis of identity to the character.

Details about Spider-Noir have been kept close to the vest, though the CCXP display gives our best view yet into the world the show inhabits. In addition to the office, there’s also an article from the Daily Bugle, asking “Where Is the Spider?” The center of the setup, however, is the massive building facade next to Ben’s door that captures the era and looks like it could lead attendees into a speakeasy. One final aspect on offer is a wall full of clippings from the Bugle portraying the constant crime raging through New York and obsessing over Spider-Man, even without J. Jonah Jameson there to lead the charge.

Who All Is Involved in ‘Spider-Noir’ Alongside Cage?

Spider-Noir is killing two birds with one stone for Spidey fans, finally delivering a long-desired live-action Spider-Man series and giving Cage a chance to expand on the fan-favorite role he first voiced in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The series hails from 22 Jump Street co-writer Oren Uziel, who is also serving as co-showrunner alongside Steve Lightfoot. Starring alongside Cage are New Girl star Lamorne Morris and The Banshees of Inisherin Oscar nominee Brendan Gleeson, with Li Jun Li, Abraham Popoola, Whitney Rice, Karen Rodriguez, Jack Huston, Amanda Schull, Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Scoot MacArthur, Michael Kostroff, Joe Massingill, and Cary Christopher among those set for recurring roles.

Spider-Noir will premiere first on the MGM+ linear channel in the U.S. sometime in 2026 before arriving on Prime Video the next day. Check out our images of the CCXP display above.
