‘Tehran’ Renewed for Season 4 as New Trailer Teases the Raised Stakes of Season 3!! Check It Out!!

An Apple TV show has been renewed for a fourth season as Hugh Laurie joins the cast of Season 3.

Laurie is best known for playing Dr. Gregory House on Fox’s House. He hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2019’s The Personal History of David Copperfield; however, he has since starred in TV shows and miniseries such as Avenue 5, All the Light We Cannot See, and more.

What Apple TV show did Hugh Laurie join the cast of?

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Laurie has joined the cast of Tehran Season 3, which premieres next month on Apple TV. Laurie will play a character named Eric Peterson in the show, who is a “South African nuclear inspector.”

Additionally, the outlet notes that the series has been officially renewed for a fourth season, which is now in production. No further details about when that might arrive have yet been unveiled.

The synopsis for the series reads, “Tamar is a Mossad hacker-agent who infiltrates Tehran under a false identity to help destroy Iran’s nuclear reactor. But when her mission fails, Tamar must plan an operation that will place everyone dear to her in jeopardy.”

The Hollywood Reporter’s article further notes, “After going rogue at the end of season two and reeling from the loss of her closest allies, in season three, Tamar must find a way to reinvent herself and win back the Mossad’s support if she is to survive.”

Niv Sultan plays Tamar in Tehran, while the cast also includes Shaun Toub as Faraz Kamali and Shila Ommi as Nahid. Sasson Gabai, Phoenix Raei, and Bahar Pars join the cast of Tehran Season 3 in addition to Laurie.

Tehran Season 3 premieres on Apple TV on January 9, 2026. New episodes will continue to drop weekly until the finale airs on February 27, 2026.
