With exactly 100 days remaining for its global release, the makers of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups have officially begun the countdown to one of 2026’s most awaited films. The period gangster drama, written by Geetu Mohandas and Yash and directed by Mohandas, has steadily grown in buzz since its announcement and continues to remain a major talking point among fans and industry watchers.
To mark the 100-day milestone, the team unveiled a striking new poster that showcases Rocking Star Yash in an intense and gritty avatar. The visual features him seated in a blood-filled bathtub, sporting a rugged, tattoo-covered physique. Though his face remains concealed, the silhouette—lit dramatically by a ray of light—offers a powerful teaser of the character he plays. The raw, edgy aesthetic has already sparked strong reactions online, with fans praising the bold imagery and the promise of a darker narrative tone.
Alongside the poster, the makers spotlighted the acclaimed technicians bringing the film’s ambitious vision to life. National Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev Ravi handles the visuals, while the music is composed by Ravi Basrur, who earlier collaborated with Yash on KGF. Ujwal Kulkarni has joined the post-production team, with TP Abid leading production design. The action blocks have been crafted by Hollywood stunt specialist JJ Perry—celebrated for projects including John Wick—along with National Award-winning action duo Anbariv.
Toxic features a star-studded ensemble of Yash, Nayanthara, Kiara Malhotra, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair. The film is strategically lined up for release on March 19, 2026, coinciding with a packed festive window that includes Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film has been shot simultaneously in English and Kannada and will release in six languages.
