Fans everywhere have been talking about Jason Statham’s return as Adam Clay in The Beekeeper 2 this year, but before he stars in the long-awaited action sequel, he’ll headline a new thriller that just got an exciting new look. Statham himself took to his personal Instagram account to unveil a new batch of images from Shelter, the new actioner following a man who rescues a girl from the sea, only to find himself in the middle of an unexpected conflict. The new images show a much grizzled Statham in the film, unlike the dapper look he often sports in his action movies.
Little else is known about Shelter at this time, but several other cast members, including Harriet Walter, have been confirmed. Walter has exploded in popularity over the last few years thanks to her role in Silo, the Apple TV sci-fi series starring Rebecca Ferguson. Bill Nighy, who could recently be seen starring opposite Sam Claflin in Harlan Coben’s Lazarus, will also have a role in Shelter. Naomi Ackie (Mickey 17) and Daniel Mays (Rogue One) will also star in the film.
Does Jason Statham Have Any Movies on Netflix?
Jason Statham only has a few movies on Netflix right now, including Wrath of Man and Snatch. Both films were directed by frequent Statham collaborator Guy Ritchie, but the latter of which was his second performance of his career back in 2000. The former just premiered on Netflix on Christmas Day, and it quickly rose to the #1 spot on Netflix global streaming charts before falling out of the top 10 over the last few days. The One, which co-stars Statham and Jet Li, is also streaming on Netflix right now, but the streamer has confirmed that it will leave the platform on January 31.
