After what feels like an eternity, Paramount+ has finally shown off the first look at The Madison alongside the hotly anticipated release date. Taylor Sheridan’s most mysterious series to date will debut Saturday, March 14, exclusively on the streamer. The six-episode first season follows a grieving New York City family as they relocate to the Madison River valley of central Montana, where loss, love, and reinvention collide. Paramount+ describes the series as “a profound love story channeled through a deeply personal family drama about resilience and transformation,” and that framing tracks with everything we’ve heard so far. The full synopsis reads:
“The Madison is a heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
The series unfolds across two distinct worlds — the vast, grounding landscapes of Montana and the restless energy of Manhattan — using that contrast to explore the ties that bind families together, even when everything else falls apart. Sheridan has called The Madison his most intimate work yet, and the tone appears to lean less toward gunfights and power struggles and more toward emotional reckoning.
Leading the cast are Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell, anchoring the story as members of the Clyburn family. Joining them are Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane), Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes), Alaina Pollack (The Surrender), Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Kevin Zegers (Power), Rebecca Spence (Lady in the Lake), Danielle Vasinova (1923), and Matthew Fox (Lost), which is a nice blend of A-list stars alongside Sheridan.
What Other Taylor Sheridan Shows Are Coming Out in 2026?
The Madison marks the first of many new series from Sheridan‘s pen to hit the Paramount+ screens in 2026. Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone sequel featuring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, will air later this year, while Luke Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton in Marshals on CBS in March. Sheridan will be an executive producer on that series, but nothing more. His other hit shows, Tulsa King, Lioness, and Landman, will return later in the year, while Jeremy Renner‘s Mayor of Kingstown will end with its fifth season, though a release date has not been set.
The Madison arrives on Paramount+ on Saturday, March 14.
