Get ready to meet The Beatles, as Sony Pictures has released the first look at the main cast of The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event in character. However, they’ve chosen to do so in an unconventional way: sets of four different postcards, each bearing the image of one Beatle, have been hidden on the campus of the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts for students to find. The four cards feature the cast of the film in character, with Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr. The images are clearly taken from different periods of the films: the McCartney image seems to be set in the band’s pre-fame days, when they were the clean-cut, mop-topped headliners in the subterranean environs of Liverpool’s Cavern Club, while Lennon, Starr, and Harrison are depicted in the band’s later days, judging by their shaggier looks. It’s appropriate that the postcards would be hidden at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts; it was co-founded by McCartney, and is housed in a building that once served as the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys, at which both McCartney and Harrison were once students.
