HBO Max boss Casey Bloys has confirmed that the new Harry Potter show will premiere in “early 2027.” Bloys was the subject of a wide-ranging interview earlier today, and when asked about when the show would be released, he said, “We’ve been saying 2027. I would say, to narrow it down to some context, early 2027. And now you’re going to ask, ‘Does that mean January, February, March, or April?’ And that we’re not ready to say. I’ll just say early 2027.”
While it would be exciting to know specifically when the new Harry Potter show would begin streaming on HBO Max, it’s still exciting to think it’s just over a year away. Next year this time, we could even have an official trailer for the show. The year has already been full of big news for Harry Potter fans, but the latest of which was the confirmation that legendary composer Hans Zimmer would work on the score for the show. Zimmer, best known for his work on the Dune franchise, will replace the great John Williams, who previously did all the Harry Potter movies.
HBO’s Harry Potter series has already assembled an impressive cast, which is led by the up-and-coming Dominic McLaughlin as the titular character.
