‘The Last of Us’ Season 3 Finds Danny Ramirez’s Replacement in Jorge Lendenborg Jr!!

HBO has released plenty of big shows over the last few years, but few have had the same impact as The Last of Us. Based on the two Naughty Dog video games from Neil Druckmann, The Last of Us Season 1 tells the story of Joel (Pedro Pascal), a man who delivers a young girl, Ellie (Bella Ramsey), across the country to an organization that can study her immunity and potentially make a cure. The Last of Us Part II is split across two seasons, with Season 2 telling the story from Ellie’s perspective and Season 3 following Abby (Kaitlyn Dever).

HBO provided a tease for The Last of Us fans at Abby and her gang of Wolves in Season 2, but the group will fully take center stage in Season 3, which will be set over the same few days as Season 2. Bella Ramsey is expected to have a much smaller role in Season 3, and Pascal’s role as Joel has been called into question entirely. One of the vital members of Abby’s WLF (Washington Liberation Front) gang is Manny, who was briefly played by Danny Ramirez (Captain America: Brave New World) in Season 2. News broke a few weeks ago that Ramirez had departed the project due to scheduling conflicts.

Now, HBO has finally found the perfect replacement for Danny Ramirez. News broke this afternoon that Jorge Lendenborg Jr., famed for his role opposite Tom Holland in Spider-Man: No Way Home, will take over the role of Manny in The Last of Us Season 3. Clea DuVall has also been cast as a Seraphite in The Last of Us Season 3, one of the religious fanatics Abby encounters on her journey.

When Does ‘The Last of Us’ Season 3’ Come Out?

It has still yet to be announced when The Last of Us Season 3 will be released, but the show is expected to resume production any day now. Assuming production will take a few months at least, the earliest potential window for The Last of Us Season 3 to be released is sometime early next year, but even this may be pushing it. Fans can rest assured that the show will premiere before the end of 2027, though. The Last of Us is currently trending on HBO Max as fans await the arrival of Season 3, which is confirmed to be the final season.
