Three years after it became a worldwide sleeper hit, Deadloch has returned for a second season of murder and mayhem. The Australian comedy murder mystery series will return next month, as Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) are back on the case. The first trailer for the new season sees them headed to the rural north of the country, dealing with unfriendly crocodiles and even-unfriendlier locals.

Who Stars in Season 2 of ‘Deadloch’?

In addition to stars Box and Sami, Alicia Gardiner returns as Dulcie’s overbearing wife Cath, as does Nina Oyama as enthusiastic officer Abby. New additions to the cast include Luke Hemsworth (Westworld), Steve Bisley (Mad Max), Shari Sebbens (The Sapphires), Damien Garvey (The Artful Dodger), Anthony J Sharpe (Joe vs. Carole), Ling Cooper Tang (Nautilus), and Bev Killick (Savage River). Creators Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan return as well, and advise fans of the series to gird their loins: “It’s time to get your cargo shorts and your stubby holders ready for action because Season Two of Deadloch is about to be unleashed on Prime Video globally. We can’t wait for everyone to get a bit sticky, a bit sweaty, and maybe even a bit wet with us in the Top End.”

The first season of Deadloch saw a local man mysteriously turn up dead in the remote Tasmanian town of the same name. Two female detectives were assigned to the case; fastidious local Collins and hard-edged Darwin detective Redcliffe. Forced to work together, the two clashed ferociously, but still got to the bottom of the case, discovering that the case went far deeper than they initially believed.

Season 2 of Deadloch will premiere on Prime Video on March 20.
