If you’ve been refreshing Prime Video’s release calendar hoping for a premiere date, you’re not alone. While Reacher Season 4 remains a hot topic, the upcoming spin-off centered on Frances Neagley has been oddly quiet — despite already wrapping production. And now, star Maria Sten has offered an update that’s reassuring… but still vague. Just what we love.
Sten recently addressed fans directly on Instagram, responding to the endless “when is it dropping?” questions.
“For those of you asking when Neagley is coming out – I promise you it’s coming, we just want to make it perfect for you!”
She also playfully reminded anyone somehow unaware:
“And for those of you who still didn’t know @reacherprimevideo was getting a spinoff… guess what, #REACHER is getting a spinoff!”
She went on to describe the character fans already know and love:
“She loves cereal and long range sniper rifles, dry humor and hard hits. She sticks up for those who can’t stick up for themselves and when she’s knocked down, she always gets back up.
#NEAGLEY is coming. Packing a helluva punch. I promise. Thank you for being patient with us.”
So, as we can see, Sten is very enthusiastic and knows her character inside out. The only thing she doesn’t seem to know is… when the release date is. Production has reportedly been completed for a while, which makes the continued silence even more curious. Logically, the spin-off should arrive before Reacher Season 4 — especially since Alan Ritchson is confirmed to appear in the series at some point.
Is ‘Reacher’ Worth Watching?
Collider’s review stated that the Reacher Season 3 finale delivered exactly what fans signed up for: an over-the-top, bone-crunching spectacle that leaned fully into the show’s love of excess. The episode capped the season with a brutally operatic showdown between Jack Reacher and the seemingly indestructible Paulie, staging one of the most absurdly violent fights the series has ever attempted — and somehow making it work.
“Neagley finally figures Reacher out. It’s not that he loves the little guy. He hates the big ones. The bullies. And he’ll never stop hunting them. Teresa reunites with her grandmother. Richard hits the road. Reacher mounts Beck’s motorcycle and vanishes into the distance. Another case closed. Another monster buried. And Reacher? Already onto the next one.”
All three seasons of Reacher are streaming now on Prime Video. Neagley premieres this year.
