Paramount+ has released the official final trailer and key art for The Madison, Taylor Sheridan‘s newest neo-Western drama starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell. And if the footage is any indication, this one is less about land wars and more about loss. The six-episode debut season premieres globally on Saturday, March 14, with three episodes dropping at launch. The remaining three episodes arrive the following Saturday, March 21. Even more notably, the series has already been renewed for a second season. The Madison is being described as Sheridan’s most intimate work to date.
The series unfolds across two worlds — the sweeping landscapes of Montana and the electric pulse of Manhattan — following the Clyburn family as they relocate to the Madison River Valley. The trailer sets up the relationship beautifully between Pfeiffer‘s Stacy and Russell‘s Preston, but we know this series is marked by tragedy and loss, and we fear this means Preston may not be long for this world. Sheridan has a history of shocking audiences early — from Yellowstone to Mayor of Kingstown and Landman — often using a major death to ignite the larger narrative, and killing off Russell early on would certainly be a way to lay down a marker. And this also feels like a marked change for Sheridan, as indications are this will easily be his most emotional series so far.
In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, the series stars Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane), Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes), Alaina Pollack (The Surrender), Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Kevin Zegers (Power), Rebecca Spence (Lady in the Lake), Danielle Vasinova (1923), Matthew Fox (Lost) and Will Arnett (Is This Thing On?).
What Other Taylor Sheridan Shows Are Coming Out in 2026?
The Madison is set to be the first of many from Sheridan‘s pen to hit the Paramount+ screens in 2026. Dutton Ranch, the Yellowstone sequel featuring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser, will premiere later this year, while Luke Grimes reprises his role as Kayce Dutton in Marshals on CBS in March. Wes Bentley‘s Jamie Dutton won’t be appearing on account of his shuffling off this mortal coil. Regarding Marshals, Sheridan will be an executive producer on that series, but nothing more. His other hit shows, Tulsa King, Lioness, and Landman, will return later in the year, while Jeremy Renner‘s Mayor of Kingstown will end with its fifth season, though a release date has not been set.
The Madison is set to premiere on Paramount+ on March 14, 2026.
