Netflix has shared the first official trailer for Something Very Bad is Going to Happen, an upcoming horror miniseries produced by Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer. The 8-episode limited series will release on Netflix on March 26, 2026.
“Rachel (Camila Morrone) is getting married in five days. Together with her fiancé, Nicky (Adam DiMarco), she embarks on a road trip to his family’s vacation home, secluded in a snowy forest, for the intimate wedding ceremony of their dreams. Which really would be so lovely, except … prone to superstition and paranoia, Rachel can’t shake the relentless feeling that something bad is going to happen,” reads the official synopsis of the series.

What happens in the Something Very Bad is Going to Happen trailer?
The trailer highlights the upcoming marriage of Rachel and Nicky. However, Rachel begins to worry that something bad is going to happen, which sends her down a spiral of worrying about whether or not she’s chosen the right person, and what could happen if the two decide to go through with the wedding.
Something Very Bad is Going to Happen is created and executive-produced by showrunner Haley Z. Boston. The cast is led by series regulars Camila Morrone as Rachel, Adam DiMarco as Nicky, Jeff Wilbusch as Jules, Karla Crome as Nell, Gus Birney as Portia, Jennifer Jason Leigh as Victoria, Ted Levine as Boris, and Sawyer Fraser as Jude.
Executive producers are the Duffer Brothers and Hilary Leavitt for Upside Down Productions, along with Andrea Sperling and Weronika Tofilska. The latter is also serving as a director alongside Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann.
