‘Avengers: Secret Wars’: Chris Evans Confirms Captain America Will Return in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Follow-Up!!

In an Instagram reel shared by user Jessica Zborowski, Evans can be heard saying, “I start work on the next one in a couple months, so I’m in the next one. There’s that.” Taken at face value, that strongly suggests his Marvel comeback does not end with Doomsday, and that Steve Rogers is also set to appear in Avengers: Secret Wars.

That is the real takeaway here. If Evans is indeed talking about Secret Wars, then Steve is almost certainly making it out of Doomsday alive. Marvel has already confirmed Evans’ return as Steve Rogers in Doomsday through its teaser rollout, and Secret Wars is officially set for December 17, 2027, with the Russo brothers directing both films. Put that together, and this starts to look a lot less like a one-movie cameo and a lot more like a two-part return.
