It didn’t take long for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder to build a loyal audience once it landed. The first season had the kind of hook that is always hard to resist: a smart teen lead, a dead girl, a small town full of secrets, and just enough romance and chaos to keep everything moving. But what really made it work was Pip herself. She was curious, stubborn, and way too good at pulling at threads other people wanted left alone. Now she is heading back into another mystery, even if she would really rather not be.
Netflix has confirmed that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Season 2 will premiere on May 27, 2026. The new season will once again run for six 45-minute episodes, with Emma Myers returning as Pippa Fitz-Amobi. This time, Pip’s trying to move on after solving the Andie Bell case and dealing with the fallout from everything that came with it. But as Max Hastings’ trial gets closer, Connor’s brother Jamie suddenly disappears, pulling Pip into a new race against time. That setup comes from Holly Jackson’s Good Girl, Bad Blood, the second book in the series, which Season 2 is adapting for the screen.
The full main cast includes Myers as Pip Fitz-Amobi, Eden H Davies as Jamie Reynolds, Zain Iqbal as Ravi Singh, Asha Banks as Cara Ward, Yali Topol Margalith as Lauren Gibson, Jude Morgan-Collie as Connor Reynolds, Henry Ashton as Max Hastings, and Freddie England in a newly announced role.
Is ‘A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder’ Worth Watching?
Collider’s review stated that A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a decent and watchable adaptation that gets the mystery right, even if it loses some of the charm that made the book stand out. The series follows Pip as she reopens a local murder case everyone else thinks is already solved, and once the story really gets moving, it does a good job keeping the suspense alive.
Most impressive of all is that everything is inevitably tied up into a bow, per the source material, and there are no loose ends left unanswered; the season doesn’t end on a cliffhanger despite there being two more novels. There are still two more books that can and will continue Pip’s story if the show gets renewed, but for now, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a decently good and suspenseful adaptation.
