The makers of Candy And The Pizza Ggirl have unveiled the film’s first-look poster, offering a striking, stylized glimpse into its edgy, wacky, and unpredictable world, while officially announcing its release on April 10, 2026.
Marking the bold debut of Full Moon Studioz and director Akkhil Kapur in feature films, this 100-minute dark comedy promises a genre-bending cinematic experience that dives deep into Mumbai’s frenetic nightlife.
The film will premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on April 10, 2026.
Set against the backdrop of a surreal, full-moon Saturday night, the story unfolds as a neon-lit carnival of chaos, where a series of domino-like misadventures intertwine the lives of an eccentric ensemble of characters. At the heart of the narrative lies a single catastrophic event that binds these characters together, setting off an unpredictable chain reaction filled with humor, suspense, and bizarre twists.
Blending dark comedy with moments of tension and a distinctly offbeat tone, Candy And The Pizza Ggirl captures the eccentricities of Mumbai—the “Maximum City”—through a lens that is chaotic, playful, and emotionally charged.
The newly released poster reflects this unique tonality visually sharp, intriguing, and deliberately withholding offering just enough to draw audiences in while preserving the film’s mystery.
The film features a dynamic cast led by Ninad Kamat, alongside Priya Banerjee, Shivani Singh, Dara Sandhu, Nimish Shitole, and Aniket Sanghvi, delivering performances that complement its imaginative and unconventional storytelling.
Priya Banerjee said, “What drew me to this film was how unapologetically bold and different it is. My character lives in extremes—emotionally and visually—and that gave me a lot of space to experiment as an actor. It’s wild, it’s unpredictable, but there’s also a strong emotional undercurrent that audiences will connect with.”
Director Akkhil Kapur shared, “With Candy And The Pizza Ggirl, I wanted to create a world that feels unpredictable, chaotic, and alive—much like Mumbai itself. It’s a story about flawed, eccentric people colliding in one explosive night, where every choice spirals into something unexpected. A parallel reality! The tone walks a fine line between madness, emotion and surrealism. That balance is what excited me the most.”
Presented by Elefante Blanco Pictures in association with India Film Factory, the film is produced by Poonam Kapur, Akkhil Kapur, Shiva Malani, Aaryaan Saxena, and Rajlakshmi Manas Barua under the Full Moon Studioz banner.
The trailer will be unveiled soon.
