Few directors are in line to have as big a year as Guy Ritchie, who has already premiered all eight episodes of his new British mystery series, Young Sherlock. The fate of the show has yet to be decided by Prime Video, but it’s been at the top of worldwide streaming charts for weeks now, so it would be surprising if it were not renewed for Season 2. Ritchie is also set to return to the big screen soon with the release of In The Grey, the action-adventure thriller co-starring Henry Cavill and Jake Gyllenhaal. The film wrapped production more than two years ago, and after numerous delays and setbacks since the start of 2024, it’s finally set to make its worldwide premiere next month on May 15.
Ritchie has plenty of famous projects from the course of his career, but one of the most memorable is the 2019 film starring Matthew McConaughey, The Gentlemen. The film was a massive success, earning acclaim from critics and audiences on its way to grossing over $115 million at the box office against a modest $22 million budget. The film was such a success that it prompted Netflix to develop a spin-off TV show starring Theo James and Giancarlo Esposito that premiered back in 2024. Netflix renewed The Gentlemen for a second season, and now two years removed from the Season 1 premiere, we finally have a concrete idea about when the show’s sophomore season will hit streaming. The Gentlemen‘s lead, Theo James, recently sat down for an interview, and he confirmed that the second season of the show will arrive later this year, “in the Fall.” Hang tight, Gentlemen fans, more episodes are coming soon.
