MGM+ has quietly become one of the most underrated platforms for great TV shows in the last few years. One of the biggest shows to hit the streamer recently was the latest remake of Robin Hood (starring Sean Bean), which was a smash hit among critics and audiences, earning a Season 2 renewal. Another hit show to emerge in the last few years that even earned the Stephen King seal of approval was From, the sci-fi horror show headlined by Harold Perrineau. From arrived back in 2022, and the show has already aired three successful seasons, with the fourth on the way on April 19. The series holds an immaculate rating of 96% from critics on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes.
Through its first four seasons, From has developed a large audience, and the demand for the show has never been higher in the days heading into Season 4. Fans are already asking questions about the future of the series, and Amazon MGM put those to bed this morning by sealing the fate of the show. Amazon announced that From has officially been renewed for Season 5, which will also serve as the final season of the show. Showrunner John Pinkner, creator John Griffin, and director Jack Bender shared a statement on the renewal, which reads as follows:
“We are wildly excited to announce that we’ve officially begun work on season 5, which means we will get the chance to see our story to its conclusion. Which means questions will be answered. Answers will be questioned. And there will surely be a cascade of tears and terrors in between. We are thankful for the support of our friends and partners at MGM+. And we are grateful beyond measure for the mad passion of our entire FROMily. We’re excited to share season 4 with you and hope it whets your appetite for what’s to come.”

From is set in a mysterious town in the middle of the United States that imprisons everyone who enters. As the residents inside struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the barrage of threats from the surrounding forest. The hit sci-fi horror show stars Harold Perrineau as Boyd Stevens, Catalina Sandino Moreno as Tabitha Matthews, Elon Bailey as Jim Matthews, and Pegah Ghafoori as Fatima.
