‘The Terror: Devil in Silver’: First Trailer Teases the Upcoming Supernatural Horror Series!! Check It Out!!

It’s been a long wait for The Terror to return, but the anthology is finally crawling back onto screens with something that looks a lot more claustrophobic and psychologically warped than ever. The first season trapped viewers in the Arctic with something ancient and hungry. The second turned to a Japanese internment camp haunted by violence and grief. This time, the nightmare moves indoors, and somehow that makes it feel even worse. AMC+ and Shudder have now unveiled the full trailer for The Terror: Devil in Silver, and it’s leaning hard into institutional dread, fractured reality, and the possibility that something truly evil is lurking inside New Hyde Psychiatric Hospital.

The six-episode limited series premieres Thursday, May 7, on AMC+ and Shudder, with episodes rolling out weekly. The new installment is executive produced by Ridley Scott, writers and showrunners Chris Cantwell and Victor LaValle, and Karyn Kusama, who also directs the first two episodes. Based on LaValle’s novel, the season stars Dan Stevens as Pepper, a working-class moving man who is wrongfully committed to New Hyde, where he has to navigate hostile patients, sinister doctors, and possibly the Devil himself. AMC has also confirmed the series will air later this year on linear AMC.

Who Stars in ‘The Terror’?

In addition to Stevens, the series stars Judith Light (Before, Out of My Mind), CCH Pounder (Rustin, NCIS: New Orleans), Aasif Mandvi (Evil, This Way Up), John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C, Lilly), Stephen Root (Barry, Heads of State), Michael Aronov (The Americans, Operation Finale), Marin Ireland (Sneaky Pete, Glass Chin), Chinaza Uche(Silo, A Good Person), Hampton Fluker (Shades of Blue, Instant Family), b (WeCrashed, You), Hayward Leach (Tom Swift, Love Life), and Philip Ettinger (First Reformed, I Know This Much Is True).

The Terror: Devil in Silver represents everything we love about this anthology – a compelling real-life setting with a veil of supernatural dread, dynamic characters brought to life through powerhouse performances, and a suspenseful, emotionally gripping story that stays with you long after the credits roll,” said Courtney Thomasma, AMC Networks‘ Executive Vice President of Linear and Streaming Products.

AMC+ and Shudder will premiere The Terror: Devil in Silver on Thursday, May 7, with new episodes releasing weekly.
