‘Mating Season’ Trailer Reveals Netflix’s New Adult Animated Comedy!! Check It Out!!

Spring is here, and nature is taking its course on the new Netflix animated series Mating Season. The new animated sex comedy from the creators of Big Mouth follows a group of amorous animals as they indulge their freakiest instincts. You can see for yourself in a new trailer for the series, which will premiere next month.

In the new trailer, hibernation is over for shy bear Josh (Zach Woods). After waking from his months-long slumber, he’s greeted by his best pal, hyperactive raccoon Ray (Nick Kroll), who is determined to get his pal laid. He shows him all the best “dating sites” which are actual sites. However, Ray might not be the person he wants to be getting advice from, given his deeply unhealthy relationship with his mother…who tried to seduce Josh, Mrs. Robinson-style. His other friends might not be much help, either; deer Fawn (June Diane Raphael) had a tryst with one of her dad’s friends, and lesbian fox Penelope (Sabrina Jalees) is seeking out a tarot-card-reading mouse for romantic help. Human foibles collide with animal instincts on Mating Season, which will premiere on Netflix on May 22.

Who Are the Stars of ‘Mating Season’?

Woods is a TV veteran, having starred on The Office and Silicon Valley. He recently appeared in How to Make a Killing, and can next be seen in the Tom McCarthy black comedy The Statement. Kroll is a familiar face from his own eponymous sketch comedy series, Kroll Show, and appearances on series like The League, Parks and Recreation, and History of the World, Part II. He’s also a familiar voice, as he stars on the raunchy Netflix animated series Big Mouth, which he also co-created. After appearing in the animated sports comedy GOAT earlier this year, he will appear in the teen comedy Roommates. Raphael starred on Burning Love and Grace and Frankie, and appeared in last summer’s horror hit Weapons; she will next be seen in the comedy disaster movie Stop! That! Train! Jalees is a Canadian comedian and actor; she appeared on the TV series Carol’s Second Act and the sex comedy Doin’ It.

Mating Season is animated by Titmouse, the studio behind Metalocalypse, The Venture Bros, and Star Trek: Lower Decks. It is executive produced by Kroll, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, and Andrew Goldberg; Chris Prynoski, Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina will serve as executive producers for Titmouse.
