‘Fallout’ Season 3 Adds Aaron Paul!!

2026 has been a successful year for Prime Video already, and not just thanks to the return of its hit animated superhero series, Invincible. The series may be gone for now, but Prime Video has confirmed that more episodes will be back before the close of next year, setting up yet another reasonable gap between seasons. Prime Video also recently ushered fans back to the world of Citadel, which finally returned not long ago following a three-year hiatus between Seasons 1 and 2. The James Bond-esque show stars Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas opposite Stanley Tucci, and while episodes of Season 1 were released weekly, all episodes of Season 2 were dropped at once as a binge. Prime Video’s latest big original movie, Balls Up (starring Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser) is still cruising at the top of streaming charts.

Prime Video came into 2026 riding high thanks to Fallout Season 2, which premiered near the end of last year and continued into January and February. Fallout wrapped up yet another successful season around three months ago, but fans have no reason to fret — Prime Video renewed the hit sci-fi series for Season 3 months before the Season 2 premiere. While it’s still unclear at this time when Fallout Season 3 is going to be released, Prime Video has officially begun building out the Fallout ensemble for its third season. The streamer officially announced this morning that Aaron Paul (star of Breaking Bad and Westworld) has officially joined the cast of Fallout Season 3. Fallout is executive produced by Westworld creators Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, so this marks an official reunion for the trio. Annabel O’Hagan (Stephanie Harper) and Dave Register (Chet) have also been upped to series regular roles in Season 3.

When Does the ‘Fallout’ TV Show Take Place?

The Fallout TV show is set in the year 2297, which is 219 years after the bombs dropped. It’s also set nine years after Fallout 4, which makes it the most current entry in the entire franchise. While plot details about Fallout Season 3 are being kept under wraps for now, it has been confirmed that Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten will reprise their respective roles as Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus. The show was written and created for Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner.
