‘The Five Star Weekend’ Trailer Sees Jennifer Garner Play a Widowed Food Blogger!! Check It Out!!

Peacock has released the first trailer for Jennifer Garner’s upcoming series The Five Star Weekend.

In The Five Star Weekend, Garner plays Hollis Shaw, a famed food influencer suffering from a devastating personal loss that strains her marriage and relationship with her daughter. The show follows Shaw hosting a weekend away at her Nantucket home with three friends from different stages in her life: her childhood, her twenties, thirties, plus a mysterious fifth guest.

What do we see in The Five Star Weekend trailer?

The trailer starts with Garner’s character, Shaw, addressing her “Hungry with Hollis” community, before cops show up at her house with news of her husband’s death. Shaw then plans a weekend getaway with four other women, the last one being the newest in the group. Besides her, the series will also focus on the other women dealing with their own insecurities and losses.

The limited series adapts Elin Hilderbrand’s eponymous novel, which topped multiple bestseller lists, alongside being a #1 New York Times Bestseller. The novel has collected over 342,000 reviews on Goodreads, with a collective rating of 4/5.

Garner is joined by Regina Hall, D’Arcy Carden, Gemma Chan, Chloë Sevigny, Harlow Jane, and Timothy Olyphant, with Judy Greer, David Denman, Josh Hamilton, Rob Huebel, West Duchovny, Tory Devon Smith, Morrison Keddie, and Roberta Colindrez in recurring roles.

The Five Star Weekend is created, written, and executive produced by Bekah Brunstetter (This is Us), who penned the series alongside Beth Schacter. It is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s 2023 novel of the same name. Executive producers are writer Beth Schacter, director Minkie Spiro, Hilderbrand, and Merri Howard, alongside Sue Naegle and Ali Krug for Dinner Party Productions.

The Five Star Weekend will debut on July 9, 2026, on Peacock.
