
Netflix has shared a new teaser trailer for The Hawk, its newest sports comedy series starring Emmy Award winner Will Ferrell. The 10-episode show is now scheduled to premiere on Thursday, July 16.
“Lonnie Hawkins, 2004’s number one golfer, struggles on the back nine of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet. His ex-wife and his son, Lance, golf’s new golden boy, know he’s through,” reads the official logline. “But with one more major to win to complete golf’s Grand Slam, Lonnie refuses to believe he’s anything other than one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history.

The video shows Ferrell as a legendary professional golfer who decides to re-enter the game again in hopes of reclaiming the top spot from his son. The teaser trailer highlights the challenging journey that Ferrell’s Lonnie Hawkins must go through if he wants to become a champion again. It also teases Lonnie’s hilarious interactions with Luke Wilson’s Golden Fisk and Molly Shannon’s Stacy.
