‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’ Renewed for Season 2!!

What do you get when you cross a scandalous dalliance, the best television depiction of pro wrestling from an A-list cast, a wholesome version of OnlyFans that involves certain body parts being referred to as various Pokémon, and Elle Fanning turning into a Barbarella-style Godzilla-sized alien cosplayer? The best new series of the year, apparently, and Apple TV has just decided it wants more.

The streamer has just renewed Margo’s Got Money Troubles for Season 2. The critically acclaimed comedy, based on Rufi Thorpe’s bestselling novel of the same name, follows Margo Millet (Fanning), a recent college dropout and aspiring writer, who suddenly ends up with her professor’s baby and a serious lack of cash. Her mom is an ex-Hooters waitress, and her dad is a drug-addicted, but lovely, ex-professional wrestler, so home life isn’t precisely the most stable.

Alongside Fanning, the cast also includes Michelle Pfeiffer (Batman Returns, The Madison) as Margo’s mother, Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, The Last of Us) as Margo’s father, Jinx, Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies, The Hours) as Lace, Jinx’s former tag team partner, Thaddea Graham (Sex Education, Doctor Who), Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, Pollock), Greg Kinnear (As Good as It Gets, Little Miss Sunshine), Michael Angarano (Sky High, This Is Us), Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington (A Complete Unknown, Hightown).

Why Did Elle Fanning Make ‘Margo’s Got Money Troubles’?

Besides the fact that it’s really freaking good, Fanning described bringing Margo to the screen as one of the great joys of her life, saying Thorpe’s story felt “wholly original and most importantly human” when she first read it.

Embarking on the adventure of bringing Margo to the screen has been one of the greatest joys of my life,Fanning said in a recent statement. “When I first read Rufi’s stunning story, it felt wholly original and most importantly human, and then with David’s writing, along with our epic cast of heart-wrenching performances, it truly felt like we had something special. Having the opportunity to bring more of Margo’s troubles, creativity, fearless spirit and authenticity to audiences with a second season, makes me incredibly happy and excited. I can promise everyone they’re in for a wild, messy, and beautiful ride.

The seventh episode of Margo’s Got Money Troubles is streaming now on Apple TV, with the Season 1 finale premiering globally on May 20, 2026. Season 2 is in pre-production now!
