Pixar has released three new posters for Toy Story 5. The fifth film in the franchise will see the beloved toy heroes pitted against a formidable villain.
What do the new Toy Story 5 posters show?
The new posters show Woody, Buzz, and Jessie facing off against Lilypad. As revealed in the previous trailer, Lilypad is an anthropomorphised tablet reminiscent of a modern iPad. The film’s premise sees the heroes competing for Bonnie’s attention during her playtime after Lilypad’s arrival.
While all three posters follow the same layout, subtle differences highlight the evolving dynamics between the toys and Lilypad. Woody and Jessie are shown to be concerned, while Buzz looks visibly angrier. While Toy Story 5 took almost seven years to complete, its director has already teased where the franchise could head in the future.
“The toys are back in Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, and this time it’s Toy meets Tech,” reads the film’s synopsis. “Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and the rest of the gang’s jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad, a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same?”
Toy Story 5 stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Tony Hale, John Ratzenberger, Wallace Shawn, Blake Clark, Annie Potts, Bonnie Hunt, Melissa Villaseñor, Kristen Schaal, Krys Marshall, and Keanu Reeves.
The film is directed by Andrew Stanton from a screenplay co-written by Andrew Stanton and Kenna Harris. Stanton has been a writer on the Toy Story franchise since its inception, and has also directed some of Pixar’s biggest hits. His filmography includes directing Finding Nemo, WALL-E, and even the live-action John Carter movie. Kenna Harris co-directs the movie, and Lindsey Collins produces it.
Toy Story 5 releases in theaters on June 19, 2026.
