‘Man of Tomorrow’: Milly Alcock’s Supergirl to Appear in ‘Superman’ Follow-Up!!

Milly Alcock’s Supergirl looks set to have a larger role in the future of the DCU. DC Studios co-head Peter Safran recently confirmed that the character will appear in Man of Tomorrow. The update has sparked excitement among DC fans following recent reports that Alcock had been spotted on the film’s set.

Peter Safran says Supergirl is a ‘major part’ of Man of Tomorrow

Supergirl will continue to play an important role in the developing DCU, according to DC Studios executive Peter Safran. In a recent interview with Variety, Safran addressed the future of Kara Zor-El and confirmed that the character will appear in Man of Tomorrow. Speaking about the studio’s larger plans, he stated, “She’s a major part of what we’re doing.”

The comments came shortly after reports claimed that Milly Alcock had been seen filming scenes in Atlanta, where Man of Tomorrow is currently in production. At that time, DC Studios did not formally confirm her role in the movie. However, the set sightings added to speculation that Alcock’s Supergirl will return in the film.

Alcock made her first appearance as Kara in the closing moments of Superman, where audiences also learned that Krypto belonged to her. She will next appear in her own Supergirl movie, a film inspired by the comic series Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow from Tom King and Bilquis Evely.

The story will follow Kara Zor-El after a ruthless enemy pushes her into a dangerous quest across space. Reluctantly teaming up with an unlikely companion, Kara sets out on an interstellar journey driven by revenge and justice. The movie will also introduce Jason Momoa as Lobo. Other cast members include Matthias Schoenaerts as Krem of the Yellow Hills, Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, David Krumholtz as Zor-El, and more.

Supergirl is scheduled to be released on June 26, 2026. Meanwhile, Man of Tomorrow is set to arrive in theaters on July 9, 2027.
