When is the release date for Apple TV’s Last Seen TV show?
Last Seen is a new six-episode Australian thriller set to premiere on Apple TV+ on September 9, 2026. Kris Mrksa is the writer and executive producer on the show, having adapted the story from Jahn’s novel, with Christian Schwochow also on board as executive producer. The series was filmed in Victoria, Australia.
The official synopsis for the TV series reads, “Police detective Ian Ridley’s (Brammall) life fell apart 11 years ago when his young daughter Maggie disappeared without a trace. Now working as a police dispatcher, the only thing that has kept him going is his implacable refusal to accept that she might be gone forever. When he receives a distress call from a teenage girl he is certain is Maggie, he will stop at nothing to find her and reunite his broken family, whatever the cost.”
Alongside Brammall, the show also features Maxine Peake (Say Nothing, Black Mirror), Brendan Cowell (Dune: Prophecy, Plum), Daniel Henshall (Mickey 17, How to Make Gravy), Jessica Wren (Mr. Inbetween, Return to Devil’s Playground), Zahra Newman (Thirteen Lives, Addition), and newcomer Chloe Jean Lourdes.
Last Seen joins Apple TV’s recent growing lineup of thrillers, including Hijack, featuring and executive produced by Idris Elba, multi-BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning show Slow Horses, and BAFTA Award-nominated Down Cemetery Road. It features Academy Award winner Emma Thompson and Golden Globe Award winner Ruth Wilson.
