Tanu Weds Manu 3, Kochadaiiyaan remastered announced as Eros unveils ambitious new content slate

Eros Innovation has unveiled an expansive new content slate that brings together mythology-inspired stories, franchise extensions of popular Bollywood films, and restored classics. Among the biggest announcements were Tanu Weds Manu – The Next Chapter and a remastered version of Rajinikanth-starrer Kochadaiiyaan.

The company introduced three key initiatives — Eros Brahmand, Eros Universe, and Eros Remastered — each aimed at expanding storytelling across different genres and formats.

Leading the slate is Eros Brahmand, a mythology-inspired cinematic universe featuring nine original titles: Nandi – War of Kailasa, Dwaarka: Gateway to the Universe, Vimaan Wars, Mahabharat 5000 A.D., Yakshinis, Brahmarakshak, Garuda, Kumbhayanna, and Mansa Devi. The interconnected universe draws inspiration from Indian mythology and folklore, bringing together a diverse range of stories and characters.

For Bollywood fans, one of the most exciting announcements was Tanu Weds Manu – The Next Chapter, which will continue the popular franchise with a new story. The film will be directed by Mitakshara Kumar, known for her work on Heeramandi and The Empire, and is being co-produced with Rudrak Soma Jyoti Limited. The project is scheduled to go on floors in 2026.

Eros also announced Eros Universe, an initiative that expands several popular film titles through new stories and characters. The lineup includes Tanu Weds Manu – The Next Chapter, Phobia, English Vinglish, Desi Boyz, Rangeela, and Tere Naam. These titles are expected to evolve across films, animation, microdramas, and character-driven content.

Meanwhile, under Eros Remastered, the company will revisit iconic films for contemporary audiences. The initiative will begin with Kochadaiiyaan, the Rajinikanth-starrer that was originally released as India’s first motion-capture feature film. The film will now be restored and reimagined under the creative leadership of Soundarya Rajinikanth.

Commenting on the announcement, Kishore Lulla, Founder and Chairman, Eros Innovation, said, “We are bringing together original mythology-inspired stories, beloved film titles and classic cinema under one umbrella. Our aim is to create stories that can engage audiences across generations and formats.

Ridhima Lulla, Co-Founder and Co-President, Eros Innovation, added, “From building Brahmand to revisiting films that audiences have loved over the years, this slate reflects our ambition to tell stories in new and engaging ways.”
