Alan Ritchson stock has never been higher than it is right now, but it’s still a great time to buy with all the many projects he has coming up in the next few years. Ritchson has been tapped to star opposite Owen Wilson in Runner, a new action thriller coming to theaters later this year on September 11. Earlier this year, Ritchson made his Netflix debut with a splash, starring in the sci-fi epic War Machine, which has since landed a spot on the all-time Netflix top 10. Netflix has already confirmed that a sequel to the film is in the works with both Ritchson and director Patrick Hughes in line to return. However, there’s one Ritchson-starring project coming later this year that has everyone talking.

Ritchson announced a few weeks ago that the long-awaited fourth season of Reacher would be released on August 12, which is now less than one month away. On the same day, news broke that the Neagley spin-off starring Maria Sten will follow around one month later on September 16 — Ritchson is confirmed to feature in the spin-off as well. This afternoon, Prime Video unleashed the first poster for Reacher Season 4, finally showing the first official look at Ritchson‘s return as Jack Reacher. Reacher Season 4 will be based on the book Gone Tomorrow, written by Lee Child, which is the 13th novel in the series of action stories. Reacher has already been picked up for Season 5 as well, and with there being 30 full-length novels to pull from, there’s no indication that the show is going off the air anytime soon.

When Does ‘Reacher’ Season 5 Come Out?

When Prime Video confirmed a while back that Reacher had been renewed for Season 5, there was no report indicating when the fifth season would be released. Ritchson is currently on a press tour promoting his new action movie, Motor City, and he confirmed that production on Reacher Season 5 will begin next week, on Monday to be precise. This should allow for the show to return before the end of next year, keeping up with a respectable return timeline. Since Reacher premiered back in 2022, 2024 is the only year to not feature a new season — an almost unprecedented turnaround schedule during the modern streaming era, when shows often go on years-long hiatuses between seasons.
