‘X-Men ’97’ Already Renewed for Season 4!!

Marvel fans have had plenty of content to enjoy from the franchise on Disney Plus this year, and the first big release came in the form of the long-awaited showbiz epic, Wonder Man. Disney followed the first season of Wonder Man with the sophomore season of Daredevil: Born Again, and both shows have been confirmed for new seasons. Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 has already wrapped filming, and it’s heavily speculated that the show will return next year around the same time as the first two seasons. The latest Marvel Disney Plus show winning over fans around the world is X-Men ‘97, which finally returned for Season 2 after going on hiatus for two years. After Season 1 earned a near-perfect 99% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, Season 2 did the unthinkable, topping Season 1 and earning a perfect 100% on the aggregate site.

Fans have known for a while now that Marvel was working on three seasons of X-Men ‘97. Even when the show was first announced, it was confirmed that it would run beyond just one season, and Rogue voice actor Lenore Zann confirmed to Collider last year that she was already hard at work on Season 3. This weekend at San Diego Comic Con during the Marvel Comics to Screen panel for X-Men ‘97, it was officially confirmed that the show has already been renewed for Season 4, but that’s not all. The team has officially completed work on Season 3 and is now free to work on Season 4, which should ensure quicker return times in the future and no more long gaps between seasons.

Who Is The Main Villain of ‘X-Men ‘97’ Season 2?

After Mister Sinister was the primary villain of X-Men ‘97 Season 1, along with Bastion and Magneto, it’s Apocalypse who is the feature villain in Season 2. Apocalypse, or the younger version of himself known as En Sabah Nur, featured prominently in the first few episodes of X-Men ‘97 Season 2, as mutants such as Charles Xavier and Magneto tried to work with him to prevent him from becoming an Omega-level threat. Unfortunately, Apocalypse gave into his true nature, and he’s set to be a serious problem for the X-Men in the second half of Season 2.
